Hello. I just stopped by to comment on a couple of things. First off, I’d like to say something about Microsoft Security Essentials. I’ve used this program for a few years and really like it. I have found it to work great with both System Access and Non-Visual Desktop Access, which are the 2 screen readers I now use. The only issue I’ve had–and I think this is a minor one–is that the automatic scanning and updating options haven’t worked for a couple years now. I don’t exactly know why this is, perhaps it’s a sign of a somewhat outdated desktop machine? Security Essentials was also on my Dell laptop, which now has a fried motherboard. I’m supposed to get a refurbished Toshiba laptop though, key phrase there being “supposed to be getting.” But if Security Essentials isn’t already on there I’m installing it. Perhaps I’ll try Vipre too as an alternative if I can find a payment plan that works for me. Plus, a former coworker of mine highly recommended Security Essentials and he was Microsoft-certified, and fully sighted. Finally, I’d like to give my opinion on that most recent Serotek blog post by Michael Fox. I’ve really been enjoying all the great features of System Access and SAMNet throughout my time as a paying customer. I can’t wait to try out more of them if and when I get this refurbished laptop. Thanks and as always, keep up the excellent work! It’s very much appreciated.
