I want to add a couple things regarding Keurig coffee makers. Firstly, you can see the full line of machines, accessories, and the beverages it can make, if you go to
http://www.keurig.com
Next, just in case people are a bit daunted by the $139.95 price quote, there are machines that retail for a goodly bit less than that. The cheapest one is the B30 Mini, which we have here and greatly enjoy. That one lists for all of $79.95, which might still be considered expensive for some, but still worth it. If you go on Ebay like I did, you might even pay a little less for a brand new machine. It will only take 8 ounces of water at a time and takes a bit longer to brew your coffee, but you still get the same quality of coffee as you would from a more expensive model. The advantage to this model compared to others is that there’s no big reservoir where water will sit for who knows how long until somebody wants a cup of coffee. You are also not dependent on an LCD display, which at least some of the bigger models have. You are limitted by the size of cup it will brew, and you also can’t use a clear mug because the mug sensor on this machine does not like clear mugs and will think there’s no mug there, but it still makes a very tasty cup of coffee.
Last, just to clear up confusion, the little gizmo you can get for most of the Keurig machines that’ll hold your own coffee grounds is called the My K-Cup. I say this because the pre-filled plastic cups you put into the machine are also called a K-Cup.
